Lot of assumptions and conclusions has been made by the various studies about oiling of hairs. Many people say oiling hairs is good, whereas other say oiling hairs is bad for hairs. Nobody is being able to say, what is right? I would like to add here that oiling your hairs is good if it suits your hair and is bad if it doesn’t suits your hair. Everyone has to make their own conclusions about oiling the hairs. No one can just force the results on us. Remember anything in excess is not good, so same is the case with the oiling of the hairs. If you put too much oil then it is bad and if you put in required amount then it is absolutely okay, in fact very good for the health of the hairs. You need to maintain the balance that is what will help you everywhere in the life.
Oiling of hairs is being traditionally done is some parts of the world. You will notice this specifically in some eastern countries that women apply oil on the hairs. The concentration is much more than observed in the western countries. If compared the use of the oil in western countries is very limited than the eastern countries. It has been noted that it is in India that majority of the people apply oil on the hairs. Certainly from this I feel that does the climatic condition influence the use of oil. It is being the people staying the hot and humid climate use the oil for hairs more than people staying in cold climate. The logic is still not clear but many surveys have suggested this.
The use of oil for the hairs is ancient technique to provide nutrients to the hairs in the east. It has been seen as the best method to grow the hairs. Some studies even suggest that you can regrow the hairs on the bald patches with the help of the oil. Regular oiling is being suggested as one of the natural ways to promote the hair growth. How much this is write even I don’t know. Some studies are perfectly antagonist of these results. They suggest that oiling the hairs regularly promotes the hair loss. Even I am confused here. They suggest that when you apply oil to the hairs it gets accumulated in the pores through which the nutrients are supplied to the hairs. Thus, disturbing the nutrient supply to the hairs, this makes the hairs weak and promotes the hair loss.
Personally I feel that oiling to the hairs must be done in limited amount, I feel most of the readers would agree on it. I would suggest that you must not put more than 5 ml of oil on hairs at once. Don’t put oil regularly; in fact do it thrice or four times in week. This will help your hairs to get the required nutrients from the hairs and will not damage the hairs growth.
Different oils are available in the market for oiling purpose. Check out which hair oil suits your hairs and then only start using it. You can even make a visit to the Trichologist to understand the differences in the oils used for hairs. He would check your hair type and quality and advice you the best oil. You need to understand that oiling only the coconut oil or the jasmine oil that also regularly is never going to improve your hair quality. You need to bit experimental and must try out the different varieties of the oil in the market. This will allow your hairs to get the proper nutrition from different sources. As a result you will notice the good hair growth and the quality of your hairs would also be improved. So, certainly oiling is good in done properly and in limited amount. Just avoid applying the oil daily because it is not good for the health.
